CookStop is designed to work in a variety of living situations. It is ready to use right out of the box or can be configured to fit perfectly in any living environment.

CookStop uses motion sensing while you are cooking in the kitchen. When CookStop senses that you have left the kitchen, it begins a countdown to shut off the stove. Coming back into the kitchen to check on your cooking will automatically reset CookStop's countdown. If you forget that you have left the stove on, CookStop will automatically shut off the stove for you.

The CookStop can be installed in elderly care establishments, college dormitories, independent living facilities, and single/multi family homes. With each CookStop, we provide the right power supply to connect the CookStop to your electric stove without needing to alter your stove.

If you do already know how your stove connects to your home power, please click here to choose the CookStop model that will fit in your home or living space. If you need guidance on which model is right for you, contact us here.  Some information you may need to choose the right model is:

  1. What year your home was built.

  2. Is your stove powered by 3-wire, 4-wire, or direct wire?

  3. Is your stove gas or electric?*

Again, if you are unsure if CookStop can work in your home, please contact us here.

*At this time, CookStop does not work with gas stoves, however we are working hard at developing a new model that will accommodate gas stoves.
